Exciting New Range of Unamuno Maxima Turning Centres Now Available From Leader CNC

Having been involved in the launch of many machine tools throughout our companies’ history, none is quite as exciting as our latest product addition. The Unamuno Maxima range of multi axis turning centres presents itself as an opportunity for engineers to invest in the ultimate CNC turning performance.

The Unamuno Maxima range differs from most traditional turning centre, production solutions. Available in three differing bar capacities, the machines can be specified with either 5, 6 or 9 axes, all configured to provide the most effective machining solution.

The key difference with the Maxima range of turning centres lies in the configuration of the turning tools. Most production turning machines on the market offer either platten tool set-ups (sliding head) or indexing turret tool positioning. It's rarely that you see a combination of both - from a machinists’ perspective, the combination of the speed of gang tooling and the flexibility of a turret opens up many new methods and strategies for machining complex and batch components.

Opting for the 5 axes version provides a lower cost production solution. As standard, this machine has an upper gang slide with up to 10 tools and a lower turret with up to 24 tools, all of which can be rotary driven. This machine also has opposing main and sub-spindles as standard.

Opting for the 9 axes version equips any machine shop with the ultimate in turning centre solutions, with two upper gang slides and a bottom turret the machine performs complex, tough and tricky machining operations and cycles simultaneously. It out-performs standard twin-turret machines on production runs, saving valuable time through higher productivity.

This is an exciting launch for Leader CNC, the business which, over the years, has built a solid reputation for providing both quality machine tools and engineering solutions. Supported both internally and externally with a team of highly professional service and applications engineers as well as technical support staff, this new range of Unamuno Maxima machines will be specified, supplied and maintained by a business who is best placed to achieve optimums in machine tool performance for manufacturers in most marker sectors up and down the country.

If your business specialises in batch component machining or high volume manufacture of small and medium sized turned parts, this could be the right time to explore exactly how much time and money can be saved by investing in the latest Unamuno Maxima advanced turning machine concept. By simply getting in touch with our sales team, Leader CNC will provide you with component cycle times and set-up times using the Maxima range.
