Since its establishment in 1933, Kitamura Machinery Co. Ltd. has chosen to specialise in horizontal and vertical machining centres. Full commitment to research and development in the production of these machining centres continues to this day.

The Mycenter Series has been Kitamura's chief product line since 1981. While technical innovations have upgraded the various functions of the Mycenter line, its name and basic structure have never been changed. Kitamura differs from other manufacturers in that they do not continuously rename their models proclaiming "Our newer models are free from defects at this time". This is because Kitamura does not consider such machines to be "true machining centres" if they do not last at least ten years.
Under this policy, they always monitor and improve upon their prototypes at their metal-cutting department for at least a few years before they merchandise them.

Since other companys' machines often need to be replaced by newer models, or are sometimes discontinued completely, Kitamura Machining Centres have greater value as a business asset.
This is the reason they have been able to offer their high quality Mycenter Series for over twenty years now.
